Crossway’s Expository Apologetics Book Review – Rating 8.9

533792I had the pleasure of reviewing Crossway’s “Expository Apologetics – Answering Objections with the Power of the Word” by Voddie Baucham Jr. It an excellentread which will be re-reading multiple times.  Crossway generously sent me a PDF of this book for me to do an honest review.

I would give this book a 8.9 out of my normal 10 point rating scale.  On a “5 star” scale that some websites use, I would give it a 4 1/2 star rating.

In full disclosure, I was not required or requested by Crossway to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255 <> : “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.”

In the Bible, we are called as believers to be able to defend out faith.  “Expository Apologetics” was written so we can take the often intimidating word “apologetics”, which can be an intimidating word but it simply means being able to give an answer for what we believe in.  Bauchman takes apologetics and breaks it down to where we can learn how to share our faith in a scriptural manner.  There are some parts where it is a little redundant, but overall, it is a very good read.  I found it to have some very good nuggets of wisdom and practicality.  I would recommend this book for anyone wanting to learn how to share their beliefs with other people..

I received an electronic copy of this book in exchange for this review from Crossway and all opinions are my own.

This book helps us to understand in a practical way how to share our faith with others and to be able to answer questions that can come up about what we believe in.

My Favorite Part:

Chapter 8 was very engaging for me as Bauchman gave some practical wisdom on how to converse with other people about your beliefs  This chapter is written very well and has a very practical approach.  Bauchman does a very good job at explaining how to do this while at the same time being able to stay true to Scripture.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone that wishes to learn how to share their faith with those they encounter.  Whether it be sitting next to them on an airplane or speaking to them from a pulpit, you will find some wonderful nuggets that you can apply to your own situation.
