Inductive Bible Study Training Class week 1 of 10

This is the first week of the ten week Inductive Bible Study training class that I conducted at our church (http://www.saukchurch.com/).  These videos were recorded from the first session of these classes starting back in January of 2015.  A huge, thankful shout-out goes out to Pastor Ron Jones from Faith at Sellersville Baptist Church in Sellersville, PA for his inspiration for me to conduct these classes.  He also graciously allowed me to use some of his material as well as format for the class.  Thanks, Pastor Ron!  In this week’s class, we give an introduction to the Inductive Bible Study method and start reviewing cultural differences as well as translation topics.

This video was recorded on 1/7/2015.

Disclaimer: There is a brief skit that I showed (time code 33:07) during this class from an old Saturday Night Live show that I used to demonstrate a point.  The skit was shown for making that point only.  If you wish to watch it you can at the link below.  If you don’t want to or feel offended, then by all means, please do not watch it.

  2. Thank you very much for the comments, John. My prayer is that this will help build a desire in others to really get into the Word of God and really understand it better and apply it correctly to their lives. Unfortunately, it seems that Bible illiteracy is a very big problem in the church as a whole. Praying that God would bring us all back to a love for His Word! God bless!

  3. To have a schedule for your Bible study has to be a great way to ensure that you are getting the most out of it. I think that being able to also have an idea of what you're studying for can be very beneficial. Hopefully this layout will be very useful to those who are struggling with getting the most out of their Bible studies. Thank you for sharing. http://www.newgethsemanebaptist.com
